Lost in Her Animals

Caitlin is obsessed with stuffed animals. She has so many of them that I clean them off her bed at least once a week. And yet by the end of the week they all end up back on her bad with her "buried" under them. I went in to kiss her goodnight on Thursday and this is what I found...enjoy!

Flashback Friday

Today's flashback takes us back to the first time the twins fingerpainted. We were visiting Nana and Papa in Florida. They were all for it for a minute. Once Caitlin realized the blue did not come off her hand, she was DONE! She hated it! Being dirty was not her idea of a good time. Christopher however was a true boy, he LOVED it! Before it was all said and done, he had blue paint all over him! He had such a great time! Hope you enjoy the flashback!

Flashback Friday

Here are some pictures from a visit to Florida to see Nana and Papa. The twins were about 16 months old. They had fun "playing" in their cousin Manny's carseat since they had outgrown their own! Silly children! Hope you enjoy!

Dancing Caitlin

Caitlin has been in dance class since September. She really loves her class. They are getting ready for their recital. And she is getting very excited. Jim took Caitlin to her dance class on Tuesday night. He got to see Catilin in her recital costume and got to watch her dance. He enjoyed watching his little girl dancing. Here are some pictures. We can hardly wait for the recital. It is June 6th! Yay!

Flashback Friday

When the twins were about 2 months old, Jim had to go to Boston as part of his Chief's intiation. Daddy came up to stay with me and the twins. Here are a few pictures from his visit back in 2004! Enjoy!

My Little Ladybug

I have been calling Caitlin my little ladybug since she was born. You will often hear me call her "bug" or "baby bug". I have also dressed her in LOTS of ladybugs since she was born. Her grandparents help me with this obsession. Her Granny and Grandma help me with the ladybugs as well as with horses. (Caitlin's obsession). And her Nana and Papa help me as well. For Christmas, Nana and Papa got her this dress. She wears it to school at least once a week or every other week. She really loves this dress. So here are some pictures of Caitlin in her dress from Nana and Papa. Thank you for the beautiful dress! Love to you!

Chuck E Cheese MADNESS!

A week ago, the twins school doomed me. They sent home a flier and told the children ALL about it. They were having a fundraiser for the school at Chuck E Cheese and the children were "encouraged" to bring the family and come. Christopher made it his mission not to let me forget that Thursday was the day to go to Chuck E Cheese. He asked me every day when Thursday was. He announced that Thursday was Chuck E Cheese day. And I dreaded it. I knew Jim would be gone and the thought of taking the twins to Chuck E Cheese alone was just not appealing. But after seeing that Polly was taking Jamie, I caved. She offered to help me out with the twins and I knew they would love to see Jamie along with their other friends. So, off to Chuck E Cheese we went. (I still say I need my head examined for that decision!) The twins were so happy though! When we got there, it was not too bad. We ordered pizza. The kids ran off to spend tokens. The pizza arrived and we sat down to eat it. At some point, half the world showed up at Chuck E Cheese. (Okay, maybe an exaggeration, but it sure did FEEL like it was half the world in there!) Chaos ensued. I must confess, I dumped the twins tokens in my pocket and told them they spent them all. (Bad mommy!) But, we survived! We got home and it was bedtime. The good news is the twins passed out! I think they were definately tired out! It was worth taking them for the smiles and fun they had, but next time it is dad's turn!!! Enjoy the pictures!

Playing in the Snow

Sunday was a rainy day. It rained all day. The temperature dropped. And at about 11pm, the rain turned to ice. Then to snow overnight. We had officially become part of the North East Winter Storm. Jim was leaving at 6am for his week long golf trip to South Carolina. I got up with him. And we had a blanket of snow. School was cancelled. I watched the snow fall for a little while. I knew the twins would LOVE seeing it. They have been dying for snow, especially since they have had school cancelled before wih no snow. We came downstairs at about 8:30am and I opened the blinds to show the twins the snow. They were so excited. I managed to keep them in until about 10am. Then we bundled up and headed outside. They really had fun. It is so amazing to see how different they act around snow now than they did the first time they saw it. Back then, Caitlin HATED it. Back then, she went out and just stood there and looked at it. Now she makes snowballs and chases her brother. She makes snow angels. She just loved it! Christoper liked the snow before, but now he really enjoys it. He knows how to make snowballs and likes to throw them at his sister and at me. He also brought his football out and was throwing it around. They played in the backyard with the dogs for about an hour. What fun! The dogs loved the snow too! Today, we still have snow, but they are back at school. They were sad to go too. Christopher told me that since there was still snow, he could not go to school. Makes perfect sense in 4-year old logic. Anyway, we enjoyed the snow. And even though we miss daddy this week, we are having fun. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Sunday Family Fun

There was a train show in Virginia Beach over the weekend. Since Jim and Christopher both LOVE trains, we decided to make the best of a rainy cold weekend and go to the train show. The twins loved watching the trains. They had several different ones up and running. We sat and watched for quite some time. Enjoy the pictures. We enjoyed the train show!
