Pumpkin Patch Playdate!

Yesterday we went to a BIG pumpkin patch in Virginia Beach. This was our first visit to this pumpkin patch, but we really enjoyed it! They had a petting zoo, a hayride, several bounce houses, playgrounds, and fair rides. We did not ride any of the fair rides, but the twins had so much fun everywhere else. They got to pet goats, they saw llamas, and baby goats and chickens and rabbits and camels and ducks and geese and swans and well, you get the idea! What an adventure!

We climbed on a real haystack and Christopher got "buried". It was a BEAUTIFUL day! What a wonderful family day!

Pumpkin Patch Field Trip

Another year, another school, another field trip to the pumpkin patch! We have been to this pumpkin patch every year since the twins were two! It has become a tradition, one we enjoy very much. They see a puppet show (it hasn't changed, but they don't mind), take a hayride, and then get to go through a maze (a very little one!) and then finally pick a pumpkin from the "patch"!

Jim and I both got to go on this field trip. We split our time between the classes as usual. It was a beautiful day! Enjoy the pictures!

Pumpkim Painting at the Park

It's that time of year again! I love fall. I love the activities that acompany fall. The trips to the pumpkin patch, the pumpkin painting, trick or treating..and so on! It is so much fun to see all tjose things through my children's eyes.

We started painting pumpkins when they were two. We have come a LONG way since then! We actually have faces (well, kinda) on the pumpkins this year instead of a big blob of paint! The kids LOVE painting the pumpkins too. It has also gotten a lot less messy over the years. (And that is a little sad!) But here are some pictures from this years event! And some pictures of the finished products. They are now proudly displayed on our porch!!

Howl-O-Scream...Kid Style

Last weekend Jim and I went to Howl-O-Scream without the kids, so this weekend, we took the kids with us. We got our faces painted, (we had promised them they could do it this year) Jim did not get his face painted tho! We rode rides and took them to see the halloween shows. It was MUCH colder this weekend than last weekend, but bundled up, it was not too bad! Jim and I hope to make it back one more time without the kids...for them, this will be their last trip there this year. (I have lived here for 5 years, you would think that I would be used to theme parks only being open seasonally, but nope, I still expect them to be open all the time. That's what you get for growing up in Florida I guess!) So here are our pictures...enjoy!

Look, we really do love each other!
