Sunday was a gorgeous day! We were headed down to the "other" side of the water for a BBQ. (For those who don't know what that means, it means we had to go through the bridge and tunnel to get there!) Jim took the top off the jeep for us to enjoy the weather. Caitlin fell asleep on the way there. Christopher had a great time. Then on the way home, they were a little more "bundled" against the wind. Had to take a few pictures! They do LOVE daddy's jeep with the top down!

A Birthday Party and A New Dress
Saturday we were invited to a small birthday gathering for Summer. The twins were very excited to go. Once we got there, Christopher was a little less thrilled. He was the only boy there! I have got to get that boy some friends his age to play with! But they had a good time. They got to swing and play hide and seek and of course there was cake and ice cream! (And assorted candy since it was Heather's house!) Caitlin is wearing a dress that I made for her. I am so excited. It is the third dress I have made for her. She really loves it. It has ladybugs as do the other two dresses I have made for her. I am thinking of making her one with cherries next! Enjoy!

Christopher's Award
On Friday, Christopher got a good citizenship award. His award was for co-operation. We are so proud of him. Jim met me at the school to surprise Christopher. He was so excited to see both of us there. Now both of the kids have gotten good citizenship awards. They do so well in school. I had my fears and doubts at the beginning of the year, but they have excelled and enjoyed school so much. What ablessing it has been for all of us! Congrats Christopher! I am so proud of you!

Cutting the Tree
We have a tree up by the house that is very small and has not been doing very well in the last few years. We have tried to save it, but it was finally time to admit it was dead and cut it down. So Thursday, Jim decided we would go ahead and take it down. Caitlin was so upset. She LOVES trees and gets upset anytime we take one down. She had her arms wrapped around the tree telling Jim "Its my favorite tree daddy, don't cut it!" She did not understand that the tree was already dead. We managed to get her to step aside so Jim could take it down. Then she and Christopher jumped right n to help clean up the branches. Next they moved onto playing with bubbles. Jim told they to try to catch bubbles in their mouths...that was funny to watch. I love the nice weather! It makes the days fly by so much faster!

The Zoo
Thursday was our field trip to the zoo. Jim had just gotten home the night before and the twins had not seen him yet. I picked him up at work and took him to the zoo. They were both excited to see daddy home! The twins teachers let us "steal" them from their classes and take them around the zoo ourselves. It was nice not to split time between the two classes. The both had a good time and enjoyed the trip. The zoo here is VERY small and they were a little disappointed that there were no tigers or horses. But they did have fun. I think we will be planning a trip to a bigger zoo soon! Enjoy the pictures!

Crazy School Week!
This past week was a BUSY week at school for the twins. There was something going on every day for school. Monday was hat day. They both started in cowboy hats, but when it was actually time to go to school, Caitlin traded her pink cowboy princess hat for a ball cap woth ladybugs on it. Tuesday was school spirit day. (Boring, just wearing blue and yellow, so no pictures!) Wednesday was mis-match day. The twins were VERY excited about this one. They wore mis-matched socks, shoes and clothes. What fun! Thursday was a field trip to the zoo. (Pictures of this are in a separate blog) Friday was favorite sports team day. (Of course we went with Marshall stuff...sadly I have no Gator stuff to put them in!) Enjoy the pictures...we had fun this week being so crazy!
