Dance started last week while I was in Florida for a wedding. Caitlin is excited to be back again. The changed the "uniform" the girls are wearing. Caitlin loves it, but I miss her cute little ruffle sleeves. She is looking too grown up! So off we go for another year of dance!

Another Year of Dancing

OUCH!
So, Caitlin dropped the train table top on her toe Sunday. The good news, her toe is NOT broken. The bad news, the doctor is worried about cellulitis. So, Caitlin is now on antibiotics 4 times a day and we have to go back in a week to make sure that the antibiotics are working. The nail bed is damaged, so her nail may never grow right again. And hopefully that is the worst of it. My poor baby girl!!

Birthday Funnies...
My birthday is this weekend. I asked Christopher what he was going to get me for my birthday. He told me a Transformer. I explained that mommy does not really want a transformer. Then he decided to get me a movie. I asked him which movie. He said "Star Wars, Transformers, GI Joe, Star Trek". I replied that we already had those movies. He then asked me what I wanted for my birthday. I told him I wanted a big hug and kiss and for him to tell me he loves me. I also wanted him to be good and listen so that mommy did not have to yell at him all day. He stopped and thought about it and told me that it would be really hard, but he would try. Then he gave me a hug and a kiss and skipped off. I smiled.
I asked Caitlin what she was going to get me for my birthday. She told me LOTS of dresses and shoes. The girl knows the way to her mommy's heart! I smiled and said that would be wonderful, but what I really wanted from her was a big hug and kiss and for her to tell me she loved me. I also told her I wanted her to be good and listen all day so that I did not have to yell at her all day. She thought about it for a minute. She told me that was really hard. Then she asked if she could just get me the dresses and shoes instead. Gotta love honesty, right??
Guess we will see how Saturday goes!!

T-Ball Starts Again
Yep, it is Fall. Both the kids decided to play T-Ball again this Fall. We had our first practice on the first day of school. Nothing like making a crazy day even crazier! The twins team is the Raptors. We haven't seen the uniforms yet. I told Christopher the name of his team...he asked me why the team couldn't be the Transformers. I tried to explain that is just couldn't. He then informed me that he didn't want to be a "rafter" because he did not want to go rafting. I laughed, but explained that he was a RAPTOR..not a RAFTER. Raptor like the dinosaur. That made him a little happier, but he did inform me that if his team was not the Transformers next time, then he didn't want to play. So good luck there! Wonder what he will think of next?

Home From School
After the tears at school, I was a little nervous about how the first day of school had gone. I guess I should have known better. The kids hopped off the bus full of smiles and excitement! They both had a great first day and are ready for a wonderful new year!

First Day of 1st Grade
Ahh...Fall is in the air. The day after Labor Day and the kids are back to school. They are now in 1st grade. Sometimes I find that hard to believe. How did they get so old? I drove them to school for their first day. Christopher was excited! Caitlin was scared. Christopher skipped off down the hall after giving me a hug and a kiss. Caitlin cried and clung to me. I ended up having to walk her to class. She was still teary eyed when I left her.
I know they will have a great year. I am excited for all the things they will learn and do! It will be a GREAT year for them! (Once Caitlin gets past being scared!) So, here's to another school year.

Birthday Parties..And the End of Summer
The twins went to a birthday party at Chuck E Cheese. They had a great time. Caitlin has decided that she now wants her next birthday at Chuck E Cheese. Christopher, well, he is undecided. They had a great time and it was a good way to spend one of our last days of Summer!
We went to a BBQ, we got our hair cut, we went swimming with friends and we visited Water Country one last time. And with that, Summer came to an end! Now we are headed to fall!

Fire Station Tour
We took another trip to tour the Fire Station. The twins had a great time. Christopher loves to look around the station. He no longer wants to be a "firefire" but still thinks it is cool. The fire station has a brand new ladder truck and the showed the kids how it worked. It runs the water up a hose and out the top of the ladder. Christopher saw the water coming down and ran into it! Caitlin followed him. I had two soaking wet kids, but they had a great time!
