And Yet MORE Water Fun!

As if Yorktown Beach was not enough, when we left there, we headed to Water Country for the afternoon! The twins have LOVED going there this summer. It amazes me how much they can do there now compared to two years ago when we first started going to Water Coutry. The pictures are from Rock N Roll Island. This has become one of their favorites! The also LOVE the wave pool. Caitlin goes all the way out and then just layes on her back as the waves lift her up and down. She loves floating out there! She has become quite a little fish! Christopher loves the slides! He goes up and down them over and over!

I will be sad when Water Country closes next weekend! But we have LOVED our summer!

A Day at the Beach!

On Thursday, we took a trip to Yorktown Beach. I have not taken the kids here since they were two. We went for one last playdate with some very dear friends! One of my best friends, Shyan is moving to Washington. The move happened very fast! The twins were at Granny and Grandma's for the Farewell party, so I really wanted them to have the chance to say goodbye. Caitlin and Kaylee were in the same dance class last year. And for some reason, Kalyee LOVES Christopher.

So off to Yorktown Beach we went! It was HOT! The kids were find since they played in the water the whole time. The adults all roasted since none of us were brave enough to get in the water!

Happy to Be Home

After a little over a week at Granny and Grandma's, the twins came home. We missed them a lot! It was a nice break, but I am very happy to have them back home. They seemed very happy to be home too. They have jumped right back into the routine. Here are a few pictures of them snuggling with daddy!

Off to Granny and Grandma's

Saturday we woke up and took a trip to drop Christopher and Caitlin off for a visit with Granny and Grandma in West Virginia. They were so excited. They love having their own little suitcases to take on trips. They helped load them into the truck. Then off we went. We met Granny and Grandma at the Burger King a little more than halfway between our house and their house. They are having a wonderful week! I miss them, but know they are having fun!

Five Year Check-ups

We went to the doctor finally for the 5 year check-ups. It was actually an "open school physical" day. It was interesting! We had to go from station to station before we finally got to see a doctor. The good news, no shots (the twins were THRILLED!), perfect vision, and no major problems. Christopher is 45 and 1/2 inches tall and weighs 51.8 lbs. He is in the 95th percentile for his height and the 90th for his weight. Caitlin is 46 inches tall and weighs 50.3 lbs. She is off the charts for her height and in the 95th percentile for her weight. Hard to believe these are the same kids who were premature and not even ON the charts until they were over 6 months old! All in all, it was a great check-up. I wish we could have actually talked to a doctor longer. I do have some things to discuss about Caitlin. Guess we will have to go back another time.

Fun at Rita's

We have discovered a new "love"! Rita's Italian Ice, they have frozen custard, and all different flavors of frozen ice. The twins LOVE it (and so do I!) It is a great treat on a hot day!

Flashback Friday

These are from right before the twins turned two. Jim was deployed that summer and we spent a lot of time at the neighborhood pool. Caitlin was my little Diva (okay, she still is!) and Christopher TRIED to boss Caitlin around...it did not work out for him! Enjoy!

Picnic with Daddy

The twins went to a picnic on Friday with Jim. They had a bounce house there are well as a "joust". Christopher and Caitlin both "jousted". It kind of reminds you of the show "American Gladiators" and the game they played there. Christopher played several times and even won once. Caitlin only played against her brother one time, and she beat him, but only because he fell off! They had a great time. The pics are from Jim's phone, so they are not the best! But enjoy!
