Playing in the Snow

Two days after Christmas, the snow FINALLY stopped and we found snow boots for Caitlin, so out into the snow we went! The kids had a GREAT time! They even made a snowman...okay, well Jim made a snowman, but the kids helped! They really enjoyed playing out there, but got cold FAST! (And soaked!) What fun! Only thing missing was Nana and Papa! And Murphy? She LOVES the snow! Crazy dog!

What To Do On A Snowy Day

The day after Christmas found us trapped inside. We had ten and half inches of snow outside and while Christopher and Caitlin were DYING to go play in the snow, it was still falling at a fast rate and Caitlin had no snow boots. We tried to find snow boots for Caitlin, but almost everything around here was closed for the day. So, we stayed inside and played games and built Christopher's Star Wars Lego sets. It was a very nice way to spend our day!

And It Became a White Christmas!

Later in the afternoon on Christmas day, it started to snow. Before it was all done, we had ten and a half inches in the backyard. It snowed all night and on into the next day. The kids loved watching it snow and the dogs had a GREAT time in it. Although when it was finally done snowing, Honey was less then pleased. Murphy is having the time of her life out in it though. The sad thing is that the snow canceled Nana and Papa's trip to come see us. Their flight was canceled and they could not get a new one. But we did get LOTS of snow!

Merry Christmas!!

This year, we did not travel for the holidays. The kids had asked back in September if we could stay home for Christmas this year. So home is where we celebrated.

We had such a wonderful Christmas. I feel so blessed this year. The kids got LOTS of stuff and were very happy. I managed to get Jim some wonderful gifts. And he surprised me with some wonderful and unexpected gifts. Our day was quiet, but filled with smiles and happiness. We stayed in our PJ's all day! Jim cooked ham for us with some wonderful sides. And at the end of the day, I felt at peace and very blessed.

Hope everyone had a wonderful and blessed day as well!
