Christmas Trees and Our First Snow

Yes, we have a few Christmas trees in our house. A tradition I have picked up from my mother-in-law. The kids LOVE it. We have a big family tree, they have a tree in their playroom, they each have their own tree in their room and then we have several "little" trees as decorations. It is a lot of fun to decorate them together every year. Here are a few pictures of some of our trees!






Last Thursday, we had a winter storm blow in. We got a little bit of snow and then freezing rain. The kids got two days off of school. The snowfall was heavy and beautiful to watch from the safety of the house. Unfortunately, we were out when it started to snow, so the kids and I had to make it home safely first! Here are some pictures of our snow. The kids missed two days of school. Hopefully the rest of the snow will hold off so that they can go to school this week. They are looking forward to wearing their PJ's and watching "Polar Express".
