Believe it or not, this actually looks MUCH better! We had our follow-up appointment with the doctor today. She was VERY happy with the difference from last week to this week. We still have to be careful and protect the toe as much as possible. They are still worried about infection, so keeping it clean an finishing her antibiotics are a must. She will lose the nail. Then it becomes a game of wait and see. We have to watch how the new nail comes in. If there is a problem, they will refer us to dermatology to see what they can do fer her. But right now the good news is there is no sign of cellulitis. Yay!
