Welcome Main and Princess!!

For our Saturday adventure...we were off the the Southside to Lynnhaven Mall. Our mission? Build a Bear. (Yes, this is our first ever Build a Bear! I have deprived my children of this wonderful experience for far too long in their young lives!) So, armed with gift cards from Nana, a coupon from the store, and back-up (Laura!), we headed out on our mission. We made it to Lynnhaven Mall with no problems other than the non-stop chatter of two five you olds who had no idea what awaited them. Upon entering the mall...our mission was almost foiled....the merry-go-round was spotted. After promising that we would come back to it, we continued on our way. We arrived at Build a Bear. (Wow! Do they have enough stuff for them in that store?) Christopher quickly picked out a panda bear. Caitlin wavered for a minutes, they had a hello kitty and a pink unicorn, but the pink unicorn won. (Is anyone REALLY surprised by that?) We then got in line to begin our experience. The twins were not sure what to think of animals with holes in them and no stuffing, but quickly got in the mood when they realized they were going to help stuff them and give them hearts. They also thought of names for their new animals. Caitlin named her unicorn Princess (again, is anyone surprised?) and Christopher named his panda Main...as in Main Man. (Yes, I am serious...I have no idea where it came from, but his birth certificate says his name is Main!) They got to bathe them and dress them and then we got to take them home in their "house". They are already planning a return mission for me. (I can hardly wait!) We then did a little shopping and got a snack and then rode the merry-go-round (as promised)! Had a nice dinner out and then watched a movie together. Then off to bed the the twins and their new babies. Caitlin had Princess in bed with her. Christopher left Main in his house at the foot of his bed. They are still playing with them happily today and still planning what else they want to buy for them. Caitlin wants roller skates for Princess and Christopher wants a doctor kit and a "fire fire" uniform for Main. Yay for good days and missions that don't go awry! I only had my cell phone with me at the mall, so the pictures are not the best, but you get the idea! Oh, and Caitlin was THRILLED to wear her team jersey provided by Nana as well!
