Buddy Bake 2011

Jim and Christopher participated in a cake baking contest through cub scouts. It's called the Buddy Bake. They were tasked with making a cake with no help from the women. (Anyone who knows my husband and I realizes that if they really wanted to make it hard, they would make me help Christopher, not Jim!)

Jim had to go ALL OUT! They made everything from scratch. Jim made cake and fondant and butter cream icing all from scratch. He was very proud of himself! (I have to admit, I was very impressed!) Christopher helped him all along the way! (Caitlin helped a little too...she helped lick the beaters!)

Their cake looked GREAT! It tasted good too! Jim and Christopher came in second place overall. Pretty impressive for a first attempt at making cakes. Jim could be the next "Cake Boss"! Look out Buddy!!!
