A Week Without Kids

Wow, you would think that would be a dream come true, but it is so quiet and lonely in the house. The kids went to West Virginia to stay with Granny and Grandma. They are having a wonderful time! I know this because when I call to talk to them, they barely slow down to say anything to me. That and they ask to talk to daddy. It is so sad. My babies have grown up! When did that happen? And how did I miss it?

We have spent the week working hard on their rooms. We are splitting them up and putting them in "big" kid beds. Christopher has a blue room with sports kinda stuff. He helped pick it out before he left. He will be thrilled I am sure to be in his "blue" room since he has been asking about it since we painted it two months ago. Caitlin is getting a pink room. She wanted horsies in her room, but I didn't get those for her. Instead my little bug has butterflies, ladybugs and flowers on her border. She has no idea we are doing this and will be totally surprised. I just hope we get it all done. The hard part (the painting and furniture and closets) will be done hopefully today. That will just leave the little things and those I can work on a little at a time.

We will be going to meet my MIL tomorrow to pick the kids up. I am so excited. I have missed them so much! They will have one day at home and then school starts. I am very nervous about that! I know they will enjoy it and have a wonderful time, but I will miss them! They are going to be in different classes too. That will be new for them and I am not sure how they will handle it.

Anyway, I must get back to Caitlin's room! Wish me luck! I will post pictures of the rooms when we are done! That and stay tuned! There will be lots of pictures Tuesday for the first day of school!
