Horseback Riding

For anyone who knows my daughter, you know she likes horses. (Okay, likes is probably not strong enough, she has an obsession with horses!) She has been DYING to go horseback riding since the reunion two years ago. She was not old enough to go then though. So I promised we would go this time.

Part of me was hoping she would hate it and that the horse obsession would die, but most of me was thrilled that she loved it. And she did GREAT! She listened and managed to get her horse to follow her directions. (Unlike Christopher, his horse wanted to eat and he could not get him to stop eating, so his horse ended up being led by one of the guides)

Now, I have to find somewhere to take her riding again. She absolutely LOVES it. Me, I tried not to panic as I watched my daughter on this BIG horse and hoped that she would stay in the saddle and not do anything to spook the horse. I should have known she'd be a natural at it though. Somehow I see horseback riding in our future a lot!
