Time to Make The Donuts...

We got to see the "inside" of Krispy Kreme donuts and the kids were thrilled! We took a tour with Tidewatermommies. We found out that they use over 8000 pounds of sugar a week. And that Krispy Kreme hand dips all the chocolate donuts. The kids got to see the donuts as the were squeezed out of the mold and then watch them as they traveled through the heat to get them to rise and then watch them fry and be flipped. They were amazed by the conveyor belt that ran all over the room up above to allow cooling time for the donuts. It was very nice! Then, they gave the kids donuts!! What a great way to spend the morning...and we got donuts too! Yum!
